Shuaa is a legacy Urdu women's digest with decades of cultural history behind it. This thesis project was a comprehensive redesign, built around one question: how do you modernize something people grew up with, without making it unrecognizable?

The logo is custom-built from Urdu and Arabic calligraphic forms, drawn by hand rather than typeset, so the mark carries the same cultural weight as the publication itself instead of borrowing it from an existing typeface.

The covers use custom digital illustrations, extended inside as well in grayscale, working alongside text-heavy layouts.
